Message Three - Your Faith Has Made You Well – Part One

"Your faith has made you well," said Jesus.

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen," said Paul.

Faith is the substance of the healing you hope for, the evidence that it is yours though it is, so far,
unseen.

"Your faith has made you well," said Jesus.

"Without faith it is impossible to please God," said Paul.

Faith pleases God.

I can hear the enemy causing confusion right now, saying "Read further down in Hebrews 11.
Some people suffered by faith. Read it, it says,

They were: "tortured. . .they experienced mockings and scourgings, yes also
chains and imprisonment.

They were: . . ."stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put
to death by the sword" . . .

"Faith is not some magic wand you can wave and make bad stuff go away," says
the enemy.

It is true that some people, by faith, suffer for Christ and the message of truth.

However. NO WHERE in the list do you see, by faith they
were sick
were crippled
were in constant pain
had insomnia
had seizures
had mental illness, etc.
Yes, it does take faith to stay faithful to God and continue to believe in Him and His goodness,
and to walk in obedience when you are sick and in pain. It does please God for you to stay faithful
in those times. Jesus did say, "In the World you will have tribulation." But nowhere did he call
sickness, pain and disease tribulation, and then ask you to walk it out in faith. He healed ALL who
came to Him, of ALL diseases, and said, "You're faith has healed/saved you."

You don't exercise faith to be sick, you exercise faith to be well.

And you will not offend God if you decide to believe that He is a God of compassion whose
mercies never fail. You will not offend Him if you decide to believe He wants you well. Actually,
you will please Him.

Wanting to be well does not mean that you are not willing to suffer for Christ, or that you are
spiritually shallow.

Let's just test your faith here for a moment. What do you really believe?

Use your imagination here and pretend an angel of the Lord has come and stood next to you and
said,

"I'm going to ask you a question in a moment and you must answer this question
correctly. If you do not it will cost you the life of the person you love most." (Of
course this would not happen in real life and is not how God operates. Just go with me here.)

Our imaginary angel continues, "You only have one chance to answer correctly,
and you cannot choose to not answer."

Ready? Here is the question.

Is sickness a gift from God to make you more spiritual?

Don't answer yet!

For those of you who are extremely confused because you have tried to understand truth by
looking at the world and other people's experiences, or your own experience, instead of looking to
the Word as your source of truth, I'll give you a hint.

"If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father," said Jesus. John 8:9

. . ."and He (Jesus) went about doing good, and healing ALL those who were oppressed by the
devil; for God was with Him." (devil = adversary)
Acts 10:38

Remember:

If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus.

If you want to know what God's will is, look at Jesus.

Okay. . .back to the question. (And remember the seriousness of a right answer; consult your
heart and then answer.)

Is sickness a gift from God to make you more spiritual?

I'm hoping your heart gave a resounding, NO!

I'm hoping you know in your heart of hearts that God does not put disease on people to bless
them.

You know from first hand experience that disease is emotionally wounding.

You have two choices. You can believe that God is who He says He is,
"I am the Lord that heals you."
Exodus 15:26

Or you can believe God wants you to suffer for your faith by being sick.

Just ask your heart which statement gives you peace. Which statement feels right in your heart.
That 'knowing' in your heart is faith. Let your heart rest there. Decide to believe the truth and rest
in the knowledge that He is the Lord that heals you.

Jesus is God's will in action.

Jesus is God's will revealed.

Jesus healed ALL who came to Him.

Jesus said,

"Your faith has healed you."

If you agree in your heart that He is the Lord that heals you, even if you aren't well yet, then you
have some faith.

For now, just rest in that and ignore the questions for awhile.

Today, practice believing that He is the Lord that heals you.

You are on the way to having faith that makes you well. Don't force it.

Just rest in it.
